Location: Appearance > Customize > Content > Single Post
Most of the WordPress themes like ColorMag allows you to display author bio in the post with the information of author like Author Photo, Author Name, short Description About the Author etc.
Add an Author Bio to WordPress Posts #
- Go to WordPress Dashboard > All User and edit any of the author.
- Scroll down and you’ll see Biographical Info input field under About Yourself or About the user.
- Enter the description.
After doing so, the author bio appears in posts by default in ColorMag. However, if you want to disable it for some reason, you can either remove the Author Description as instructed above or use ColorMag Pro feature as listed below.
Disable the Author Bio #
Under Author Bio, Check the Disable checkbox to hide Author Bio Box in Posts. (Available in ColorMag Pro)
Social Profiles in the Author Bio #
Under Author Bio, Check the checkbox that says Check to show the Social Profiles in the Author Bio to show icon links to the Social profiles like Facebook, Twitter. (Available in ColorMag Pro)
Available social links: Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Flickr, LinkedIn,, Instagram, Thumblr, Youtube.
Add Link to Author Archive Page #
Your readers might want to see posts by the author if they like a post of the author. So, it is better to provide a link to navigate to page where all the posts by that particular author are listed.
Under Author Bio, Check the checkbox that says Check to display the link to the author page in the Author Bio section to show Author Archive link that says See all posts by the author. (Available in ColorMag Pro)
Author Bio Box Layout #
Allows to choose how would be the layout of the Author Bio Box. There are currently three layout options: (Available in ColorMag Pro)
- Style 1: Author image on the left, Social links below the Author Description.
- Style 2: Author image on the left, Social links right the Author name.
- Style 3: Author image on the left, Social links below the Author name.
