ColorMag supports showing the News Ticker in the Header area. It helps users continuously stream breaking news without constantly refreshing the website. ColorMag allows different ways of customizing the News Ticker with the option listed below:
General #
It comes with the following options for customizing the News Ticker:
Enable #
Under Breaking News, toggle the option over the right area to Enable the Breaking News section in the Header area.
Position #
By default, the News Ticker appears at the Header Top Bar. However, ColorMag allows you to display Breaking News in two different areas of the site. The options are listed below: [Available in ColorMag Pro]
- Top Bar – It displays the News Ticker section in the Top Bar.
- Below Navigation – It displays the News Ticker section below the Primary Menu.
Filter #
The filter option allows you to choose which type of news to appear in the News Ticker section. [Available in ColorMag Pro]
- Latest Posts: It allows you to show your site’s newest/latest posts.
- Category: It allows showing the posts from a specific category only.
Label #
The option allows you to change the default News Ticker title. The default title is the Latest, which can be changed to your requirement. [Available in ColorMag Pro]
Style #

Typography #
The Typography option controls the News Ticker section’s Font Family, Weight, and Font Size. It comes with the following two options:
- Label Typography: It allows you to set the typography option for the news ticker Label area.
- Content Typography: It allows you to set the typography option for the news ticker Content area.
Animation #
It helps you customize how the news ticker appears, including the style, duration, and speed.
- Animation Style: It sets the style while the news switches from one to another news, i.e., Up or Down.
- Animation Duration: It sets the duration of the time the news gets displayed on the news ticker area.
- Transition Speed: It sets the duration of the time the news switches from one to another news.
