Preview your site before switching from free to PRO

Many of our users enquire with us on “Will the settings or content set up while using the free theme be lost when switched from free to PRO??” Well you can take a look at this knowledgebase article which answers the earlier question pretty well. However, this article is dedicated for the users who already have built up a site using the free theme, have a decent amount of viewers and cannot risk switching to the PRO theme without actually previewing the changes.

Well, a good news for all, with the WordPress customizer live preview feature, one can preview the outcome of a theme switch in your site without actually having to activate the theme. This way the viewers of your site won’t have to view the disfigured site if the theme switch was to cause any issue.

Now let’s move onto the actual process which includes the following steps.

• Please go to: Appearance->Customize to customize your site.
• On the left side of your screen, you can see various options to customize your site and on the top you can see the Change button, click on it and you will see the list of themes installed in your site.
• Now click on the theme that you want to preview(PRO version in this case). You will see text Live Preview as you hover the theme’s screenshots.
• Its all done!!! you can see the live preview of the theme without even activating. Check your site for the changes that may occur if switched to PRO version.
