To add excerpt length for blog post/archive page:
- From your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to the Appearance > Customize > Content > Blog/Archive
- Scroll to Excerpt Length.
- Enter the number of words you wish to show on the excerpt.
- Click on Publish.
